The decks and superstructure construction are all of cored fiberglass composite, and considerable weight is being saved through the use of interior joinerwork veneers on honeycomb panels.Like most serious fishing boats, this one comes with a fully equipped crow’s nest station atop the pilothouse, similar to what tournament sports fishing boats use.

Just for fun, or for getting to shore, the foredeck crane can launch a shore boat and a jet ski. And while this 92’ home-away-from-home may not have the fighting chair of a charter fishing boat, its cockpit does come with a separate freezer, fish box, bait freezer and recessed freshwater shower. There also a settee and entertaining area on the adjacent Lanai deck.

Twin MTU 16V/2000 engines will deliver 4000 bhp @ 2350 rpm to speed the high performance aluminum hull to warm water bays, where its draft of under 6 feet will let it go where few boats of its size have been before. The hull is a semi-displacement moderate V design, which will have tunnel pockets for its propellers.

Construction is now underway at LeClercq Marine, with deck plans and artist’s profile renderings available at in the “New Projects” section. For more information, contact LeClercq Marine at 206-283-8555 or e-mail to

LeClercq Yachtfisher 92'

Fast fishing dates to the Bahamas are on the horizon for one lucky Florida area owner of LeClercq Marine’s newest creation, now under construction.

This 92' yachtfisher is the result of a combined effort by designer Jack W. Sarin Naval Architects, builder LeClercq Marine, and the yacht's experienced owner. The designer and builder are both Northwest firms recognized for their leadership in large yachts. LeClercq operates from a modern 5 acre facility on Lake Union just 10 minutes from downtown Seattle, near the ocean bound locks to Puget Sound.

Designed to quickly transport the owner, guests and crew to distant shallow water destinations, the interior of this yachtfisher express follows LeClercq Marine’s long tradition of manufacturing luxurious and high performance custom motor yachts .

The 92' size is actually the length on deck, with the bow pulpit and swim step expected to bring the overall length to just beyond 100’. Overall beam is 22’10”, which provides room for the yacht’s large Master, VIP and guest staterooms, each with ensuite head. In addition to the galley, dining area, saloon and pilothouse there’s also a gym and crew’s quarters with bunks, head and its own galley.
